\nThis course focuses on the verbal sections of the SAT and puts emphasis on vocabulary building and essay writing. Vocabulary building involves three core components: context, group, and word parts, namely prefix, root and suffix. Composition is centered on persuasive and expository writing. Tips, tricks, strategies, pop quizzes, diagnostic and assessment tests will be given throughout the course.
\nThis is a moderately paced class and is not suitable for students who need intensive and comprehensive instructions and\/or last minute SAT quick fixes. Student progress will be influenced by factors such as motivation, aptitude, commitment to practice, and learning strategies applied. Students are expected to review and practice outside class.
